A leading healthcare provider in New York is seeking a Chief of Cardiology to oversee the department and enhance patient care. The role involves diagnosing and managing heart-related conditions in veterans, collaborating with various stakeholders, and ensuring timely service delivery. The Chief of Cardiology is responsible for overseeing the Cardiology department, including maintaining and improving access to Cardiology services. The role involves collaborating with PSA and AGPM to ensure clinics are appropriately scheduled, attending relevant meetings such as Access and CoP meetings, ensuring timely Cardiology readings to safeguard patient safety, and maintaining adequate Cardiology coverage.
The Chief will be a licensed Cardiologist diagnosing and managing Veterans with conditions affecting the heart and blood vessels. Responsibilities include conducting consultations, diagnosing illnesses, and managing conditions such as heart failure, arrhythmias, congenital heart issues, arteriosclerosis, and hypertension.
