Job description

The Cardiologist will diagnose and treat various cardiovascular ailments or diseases, such as heart attacks and coronary heart disease. Cardiologists may focus on one or more cardiology specializations, such as echocardiography, electrophysiology, nuclear cardiology, and interventional cardiology. Outpatient cardiac care only.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Provide the best possible care to patients.
2. Continue education to stay current with new technologies and medicines to offer the best options for each patient.
3. Examine patients and run tests to determine the cause of their problems.
4. Know how to perform and interpret tests such as ECG or EKG, chest X-rays, ultrasound, and relevant blood tests.
5. Find the best treatment for each patient, considering their individual needs.
6. Prescribe medications or recommend surgery when appropriate.
7. Explain treatment plans and educate patients on maintaining a healthy heart.

Other responsibilities may include :

• Perform tests accurately to avoid harm.
• Follow up with patients post-tests or procedures, adjusting care as needed to promote health and lifestyle changes.

Other duties as assigned and modified at manager's discretion.
