Job description

Seeking a Non-Invasive Cardiologist to care for Veterans in gorgeous Poplar Bluff, Missouri.

The John J. Pershing VA Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO, is seeking a non-invasive cardiologist to provide a patient-centered, full range of cardiology services to a diverse group of veterans in outpatient, inpatient, and urgent care settings.

Responsibilities include performing stress test procedures (nuclear, chemical, and treadmill), reading echocardiograms, Holter monitors, and EKGs. The provider will offer care in the Congestive Heart Failure clinic once a week, perform cardiac clearance for surgery, and conduct video voice Connect and telecardiology visits alongside face-to-face clinics.

The typical workday is from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with an average of ten patients per day, working with friendly, competent staff, including another cardiologist. There is no weekend call coverage.

The John J. Pershing VA Medical Center is a non-academic facility; however, we collaborate with students from the NYIT College of Osteopathic Medicine from nearby Jonesboro, Arkansas.

Recruitment Incentives: This position may be eligible for a recruitment incentive and the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP), which offers student loan reimbursement, in addition to Performance Pay up to $15,000.
