Job description

The Cardiologist will diagnose and treat various cardiovascular ailments or diseases, such as heart attacks and coronary heart disease. Cardiologists may focus on one or more cardiology specializations, such as echocardiography, electrophysiology, nuclear cardiology, and interventional cardiology. Outpatient cardiac care only.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide the best possible care to patients.
• Continue education to stay current with new technologies and medicines to offer the best options for patients.
• Examine patients and run tests to determine the cause of their problems.
• Perform and interpret tests like ECG/EKG, chest X-rays, ultrasounds, and relevant blood tests.
• Develop individualized treatment plans, including medication prescriptions or recommending surgery.
• Explain treatment options and educate patients on maintaining a healthy heart.

Other responsibilities may include:

• Perform tests accurately to prevent harm.
• Follow up with patients post-treatment and adjust care plans as needed to promote healthier lifestyles.

Other duties as assigned and modified at manager’s discretion.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
