Call: Shared equitably among physicians. General (primary) 1:7 (Boise Hospital Only). Interventional (back-up) 1:5

Saint Alphonsus Medical Group (SAMG): A physician-led, accountable 650+ provider multispecialty group offering an excellent opportunity for a general non-invasive cardiologist. Join a 20-physician cardiovascular group within Saint Alphonsus Health System, delivering care including telemedicine and outreach. The Saint Alphonsus Heart Institute features services like an accredited Chest Pain Center, a Joint Commission Certified Stroke Center, a Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery program, a CVOR that operated on over 400 patients last year, a growing CV Research program, a dedicated Heart Failure Program, an advanced EP lab with Pulsed Field Ablation, and a comprehensive structural heart program (TAVR, mTEER, tTEER, Watchman, PFO/ASD). Cardiologists and CT Surgeons collaborate with hospital administration on the cardiovascular service line.

Support: 21 APPs; 3 CT Surgeons; 4 Vascular Surgeons; Cardiac ICU; CVOR, CVICU, and step-down units; 74 SAMG clinics; Saint Alphonsus Health Alliance network of over 1,800 providers; Level II Trauma Center & ED.

Requirements:

  • MD or DO degree.
  • Completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited cardiovascular disease residency and fellowship.
  • Board certification through ABIM in Cardiovascular Diseases or AOBIM with CSQ in Cardiology, or obtain within 3 years of employment.
  • Unrestricted full license in Idaho and Oregon.
  • Privileges at SARMC-Boise and other hospitals as needed; valid controlled substance registration and DEA.
  • Hospital privileges for ECGs, heart monitors, echocardiograms, stress testing, defibrillator and pacemaker checks, transesophageal echocardiography.
  • Nuclear cardiology skills preferred but not required. Echo certification preferred but not mandatory. Cardiac catheterization skills not required.
