Position Overview

The WVU School of Medicine and the WVU Heart & Vascular Institute are actively recruiting three board-certified or eligible non-invasive cardiologists for faculty positions at our main academic medical campus in Morgantown, WV, due to our exponential growth. The successful candidates will provide excellent patient care, participate in teaching medical students, internal medicine residents, and cardiology fellows, and have opportunities in clinical research.

Qualifications
  • MD or DO degree (foreign educational equivalent accepted)
  • Eligibility for an unrestricted West Virginia medical license
  • Board certification in internal medicine
  • Certification or eligibility in cardiovascular disease
  • Additional certification or intent to certify in imaging modalities such as echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, cardiac CT, and/or MRI

For appointment at the Associate Professor or Professor level, a demonstrated leadership track record, excellent communication skills, and publications in high-impact journals are required. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
