Job summary

Cardiac Study Center / Pulse Heart Institute is seeking a Medical Assistant for a per diem role in a specialty cardiology outpatient setting. Work Monday–Friday with no weekends, holidays, or on-call, at the Winding Waters Clinic in Enterprise, OR.

You will support providers, manage patient flow, and perform clinical tasks including injections and specimen collection. The position emphasizes accurate documentation, patient communication, and teamwork in a fast-paced clinic.

Qualifications

• Current certification as a Medical Assistant through a nationally recognized certifying organization (e.g., AAMA, NHA, AMT, or NCCT).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
• Strong communication and patient care skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a team-based clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and coordinate patient flow throughout the clinic.
• Record medical histories, vital signs, and other clinical information.
• Assist providers during exams and treatments.
• Administer injections and collect specimens as needed.
• Prepare exam rooms and clean medical instruments between patients.
• Maintain and restock medical supplies.
• Support efficient patient scheduling and clinic workflow.
• Answer patient questions and provide clear instructions.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR.
• Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA standards at all times.
