Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in a specialty practice setting preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
• Strong organizational and patient-service skills.
• Certification preferred per WakeMed requirements.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, obtain vital signs, update medical histories, and document information in the EMR.
• Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and cardiac care workflows.
• Coordinate care with physicians, APPs, nurses, and other team members to ensure seamless patient care.
• Support patients with cardiovascular conditions through education, follow-up coordination, and appointment management.
• Process medication requests, prior authorizations, referrals, diagnostic testing, and specialty care coordination.
• Monitor provider schedules, patient flow, and clinic operations.
• Communicate professionally and compassionately with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Maintain exam rooms, clinical supplies, and equipment while adhering to quality, safety, and infection prevention standards.
