Job summary

Aurora Medical Group (AMG) in Wisconsin is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the care team in the Cardiology department. You will handle clinical and administrative tasks to ensure patient safety and a compassionate experience.

Responsibilities include welcoming patients, recording vital signs and histories, preparing for exams, aiding procedures, administering meds and vaccines, lab tasks, and accurate EHR documentation in collaboration with physicians and nurses.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 2 years of verifiable full-time MA experience within the last 5 years.
• Phlebotomy skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Partner with physicians, nurses, and teammates to deliver high-quality, coordinated care.
