Job summary

Aurora Medical Group in Summit, WI (Advocate Health) seeks a Medical Assistant or Licensed Practical Nurse to support the cardiology care team. You will perform vital tasks to ensure patient safety and a compassionate experience.

Responsibilities include greeting patients, recording vital signs and histories, preparing exams, administering medications and vaccines, handling labs, documenting in the EHR, and collaborating with physicians and nurses to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

• LPN or MA certification required with appropriate licensure.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification within 45 days.
• GED or HS diploma required; MA program completion or 2 years MA experience.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and support their transition into care.
• Take and record vital signs, medical histories, and health screenings.
• Prepare patients for exams and assist providers during procedures.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed.
• Perform lab-related tasks including specimen collection and point-of-care testing.
• Document care accurately in the electronic health record.
