Merit Health Medical Group (hub) in Flowood, MS is seeking a Medical Assistant in Cardiology to support patient care, assist with procedures, maintain exam rooms, and ensure smooth clinic operations.

Under supervision of a provider, you will handle patient intake, vital signs, charting, scheduling, and communications, while delivering friendly, efficient service to patients and staff. Completion of MA program and BCLS certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of Medical Assistant program from an accredited school preferred.
• 0-1 years of experience in a medical practice setting or externship required.

Responsibilities

• Assists providers with non-invasive procedures and takes vital signs.
• Prepares and cleans exam rooms before patient visits and procedures.
• Performs patient intake, reports test results, and documents information as directed.
• Supports administrative duties including scheduling, referrals, and insurance verification.
• Maintains organized workload and provides courteous service to patients and staff.
• Monitors supplies and educates patients on medications and health topics.
