Job summary

Lee Health in Fort Myers, FL is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide patient-centered care in a fast-paced, team-based outpatient setting. You will assist physicians, perform phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, minor procedures, and manage lab specimens under supervision.

You will document patient information, maintain records, coordinate prescriptions, and prepare care areas. Some late hours, holidays and weekends may be required; CMA/CCMA/RMA certs or eligibility with BLS are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Completion of an accredited medical assisting program.
• CMA/CCMA/RMA certification preferred; BLS required within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with patient care in outpatient setting.
• Perform phlebotomy and point-of-care testing.
• Assist in minor procedures and process lab specimens.
• Maintain patient records and communicate data accurately.
• Coordinate prescriptions and information requests; prepare patient care areas.
• Occasional late hours, holidays and weekends as required.
