Job summary

Henry Ford Health is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Cardiology team on day shift in Jackson, MI. Under supervision, you will support physicians with administrative and clinical tasks, greet patients, record histories, measure vital signs, prepare for exams, and assist during procedures.

The role emphasizes strong patient care, teamwork, and proficiency with EPIC. Previous MA experience and EPIC experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of Medical Assistant program with 160-hour externship.
• Alternatively, MA graduate with ≥1 year clinical experience in past 5 years.
• Current CMA certification with ≥1 year clinical experience.
• LPN or Paramedic/EMT with ≥1 year clinical experience accepted.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet and escort patients to the exam room.
• Obtain medical histories and document vitals.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures.
• Assist provider during examinations and procedures.
• Maintain clear communication with patients and care team.
