Job summary

US Heart and Vascular (USHV) is seeking a Medical Assistant to join Cardiovascular Care of North Georgia in Gainesville, GA. The role supports physicians, records vitals, and prepares patients for examinations in a cardiovascular setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Medical Assistant program.
• Experience with EKGs is required.
• Cardiology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients and record vital signs in charts.
• Show patients to exam rooms and prepare them for the physician.
• Record patient medical history and test results in records.
• Assist physicians during exams and treatments.
• Authorize drug refills and relay prescription information to pharmacies.
• Prepare examination rooms and maintain cleanliness.
• Operate EKG or other diagnostic equipment for routine tests.
