Guthrie is seeking an LPN to assist physicians and support the practice across Sayre, Owego, Vestal, Troy, and Towanda. The role involves patient prep, charting, Rx processing, referrals, and cross‑coverage for staff. Mileage is reimbursed as part of duties.

Qualified candidates will hold an active LPN license in the state of practice, with at least one year in a healthcare setting preferred. The position emphasizes infection control and accurate record keeping within a team environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold an LPN license in the state of practice.
• One year of healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to read and review pathology results with patients.

Responsibilities

• Direct patients to exam rooms and prepare for examination, including vitals and charting.
• Obtain patient history, allergies, and reconcile medication lists.
• Identify and obtain surgeon/provider authorization for Rx requests.
• Coordinate insurance referrals and follow up with referral numbers.
• Assist in department operations and cover for other staff as needed.
• Maintain supplies, infection control, and sterile technique.
