Qualifications

• Graduate of approved nursing school or Medical assisting program.

Responsibilities

• Checks physician schedules for add-ons or updates.
• Records patient data and vital signs; verifies meds.
• Rooms patients, identifies patient, and documents appropriately.
• Performs EKGs and refills prescriptions per policy.
• Coordinates tests, precertifications and scheduling.
• Completes forms and routes billing info.
• Documents in patient chart and educates patient on tests/meds.
• Uses EHR to document patient interactions and communicates with physicians.
