CGH Medical Center is seeking an experienced nurse to provide professional care for office patients under the Illinois Nursing Act. The role involves collecting data, planning and implementing care, and administering chemotherapy while maintaining EMR records.

Requires Illinois licensure, BLS certification, and knowledge of CPT/ICD-10 coding. The position offers day shift; 32 weekly hours and a $7,500 sign-on bonus for external applicants with at least 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois nurse licensure required.
• Education in medical office procedures desired or applicable.
• Ability to use EMR and basic CPT/ICD-10 coding knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Collects patient health data for physician and enters into EMR.
• Analyzes assessment data to determine nursing diagnoses.
• Identifies patient-specific expected outcomes.
• Develops and implements a plan of care to achieve outcomes.
• Implements the plan of care and assesses progress.
• Evaluates patient progress toward outcomes.
• Assigns ICD-10 codes and monitors CPT coding for billing.
• Administers and monitors chemotherapy medications.
• Monitors IV access and administration of IV therapy.
• Administers high-risk meds: pre-medications, chemo, antibiotics.
• Ensures safety of equipment and reports maintenance issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
