Job Summary

The Cardiologist is responsible for clinical and administrative duties to promote high-quality services and excellence in education at Beaumont.

Assignment

STEMI Call Coverage Program

Essential Functions

1. Adjudicate questionable EKGs within 5 minutes.
2. Return calls within 5 minutes of STEMI activation.
3. Arrive at the cath lab within 30 minutes of activation or initiate procedure within 5 minutes of patient readiness.
4. Maintain a backup physician for multiple activations.
5. Complete clinical documentation promptly.
6. Participate in improving operational, financial, and patient satisfaction metrics.
7. On-call duties last 24 hours per schedule.
8. Obtain prior approval for on-call switches.
9. Have a valid STEMI on-call contract or be assigned a replacement.
10. Request reasonable on-call accommodations if needed.
11. Physicians may be removed from the on-call panel for non-compliance.

Qualifications

• Doctorate from an approved Medical College.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience and membership on Beaumont medical staff for 2+ years.
• Michigan MD or DO license upon hire.
• DEA registration upon hire.
• Board certification by AMBS (MD) or AOA (DO) upon hire.

Physical Demands

Includes lifting, carrying, standing, walking, reaching, handling, and visual acuity, with frequency details provided.
