Position Overview
The University of Louisville School of Medicine's Division of Cardiovascular Medicine seeks a board-certified/board-eligible interventional cardiologist to join our team. We value clinicians who excel in patient care, teaching, and have a strong interest in clinical or translational research. This role focuses on coronary and/or peripheral interventions. Opportunities may exist for structural interventions and participation in the PERT program. Candidates must be eligible for Kentucky licensure.
Our division includes specialists in electrophysiology, complex ablations, interventional and structural cardiology, heart failure & transplant, ECMO, cardiac and vascular surgery, cardio-oncology, preventive cardiology, and advanced imaging. We also have specialized programs in infiltrative cardiomyopathy, women’s heart health, and a Lipid Clinic.
Research activities are encouraged, and candidates are expected to develop an academic portfolio and area of expertise. There are excellent opportunities for collaborative research with the Institute of Molecular Cardiology and the Center for Cardiometabolic Science. Teaching residents and fellows is integral to this role. Academic advancement and leadership opportunities are available based on performance and interest.
