Job Summary: Geisinger's Heart & Vascular Institute is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Interventional Cardiologist to join Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.
The ideal candidate would be an early or mid-career interventional cardiologist.
System-wide, Geisinger's Heart and Vascular Institute includes 69 Cardiologists, 12 Cardiothoracic Surgeons, 12 Vascular Surgeons, and 82 Advanced Practitioners. Services are provided at GMC in Danville, PA; The Richard and Marion Pearsall Heart Hospital at Geisinger Wyoming Valley (GWV) in Wilkes-Barre, PA; Geisinger - Community Medical Center (G-CMC) in Scranton, PA; Geisinger - Gray's Woods in State College, PA; and other community locations with additional Cardiologists.
The multidisciplinary team participates in outcomes and population-based research through the Geisinger Center for Health Research, molecular, cellular, and genomics research at the Siegfried and Janet Weis Center for Health Research, and clinical trials of new drugs, devices, and techniques through the Geisinger Center for Clinical Studies. The Institute serves as an educational venue for five cardiology fellows annually, including advanced fourth-year fellows, hosts an annual Cardiology Symposium, and offers frequent CME lectures.
