Western North Carolina - Outstanding Interventional Cardiology Opportunity

• Permanent full-time position
• Rapidly expanding STEMI program (opened in 2021)
• Robust practice experiencing growth in cardiac cath, interventional volume, noninvasive testing, and outpatient practice
• New patient referrals have increased over 300% in the past 2 years
• In 2024, performed over 2000 diagnostic cath procedures and 300 PCI in a state-of-the-art GE lab
• Facility offers techniques such as OCT/IVUS, physiologic assessment with microvascular testing, Shockwave, and Impella
• Space available to add more diagnostic/interventional labs, including EP and hybrid labs
• Plans to add an additional cath lab to meet community needs
• Join three interventional cardiologists; one plans to transition to part-time in fall 2025
• Seeking a third full-time BC IC with experience in coronary and peripheral procedures
• Responsibilities include participating in 1 in 3 STEMI call, hospital rounds, consultations, and outpatient clinics; pacemaker procedures are optional
• Practice at the main campus, no travel to satellite offices required
• Collaborate with 3 noninvasive partners (soon 4 or 5) and a dedicated APP managing inpatient service
• Opportunity to work with vascular surgeons performing endovascular procedures; one plans to retire in 2025, creating a vacancy for IC partners
• Open heart surgeries are performed at tertiary centers in Asheville, Greenville, SC, and Spartanburg, SC; strong EP relationships
