Penn Medicine is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to support the Cardiology Intensive Care Unit and Progressive Care Unit at HUP Pavilion. The CNA will work under RN supervision, provide direct patient care, administer basic nursing tasks, and help with data collection and reporting.

The role requires PA CNA certification and a HS diploma, with BCLS required. Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs, monitoring patient status, and communicating changes to the care team.

Qualifications

• Must have CNA certification (PA)
• HS diploma or GED required
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required

Responsabilités

• Report at start of shift with RN and relay care needs
• Assist with data collection: vital signs, intake/output, and patient comfort
• Assist with planning patient goals and communicate changes to RN
• Follow infection control practices, observation, and safety precautions
• Perform patient care duties including activities of daily living and mobility
• Document findings and interventions clearly and timely
• Participate in rounds and contribute to multidisciplinary care planning
• Assist with post-care discharge planning and coordination
