Job summary

The University of Miami Information Technology & Systems Department seeks an Epic Solutions Architect (Cardiology) for the full-time role in Miami, FL. The architect designs, develops, and deploys clinical Epic-based solutions, defining integrations and strategies to meet user needs and organizational goals.

Responsibilities include leading complex implementations, refining workflows across cardiology modules, mentoring senior analysts, and coordinating with vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Minimum 3 years of healthcare IT experience with a focus on cardiovascular systems.
• Epic Cupid Certification.
• Familiarity with cardiology workflows, HL7, DICOM, and healthcare IT standards.
• Experience in cardiology inpatient and ambulatory settings and Epic Cupid deployments.

Responsibilities

• Engineers new workflows or optimizes existing processes across clinical applications.
• Leads projects with high complexity and impact.
• Applies project management methodology for software development and maintenance.
• Acts as independent project lead or oversees PM/BA on assigned projects.
• Performs proactive analysis to improve operational workflows and user experience.
• Identifies product and customization requirements within project scope.
