Job summary

Inova Health in Fairfax seeks a dedicated Medical Assistant 2 for the Cardiology EP team. This full-time, day-shift role runs Monday through Friday, supporting physicians and nurses with patient care and clerical tasks.

Responsibilities include patient care, preparing exam rooms, recording vitals, assisting with procedures, and handling medical records. Requirements: HS/GED, 1 year clinical experience, and BLS and CMA on start. Benefits listed.

Qualifications

Education: High School or GED.
Experience: 1 year of clinical practice experience.
Certification: Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) upon start & CMA certification upon start.

Responsibilities

Performs general patient care: checking schedules, organizing patient flow, recording blood pressure, height and weight, escorting patients to exam/procedure rooms, and assisting with walking, specimen collection, phlebotomy, injections, and examinations.
Fulfills clerical duties: sending/receiving records, obtaining reports, organizing charts, and scanning information for chart readiness.
Maintains environment: cleans rooms, inventories supplies, disposes of expired items, and ensures safety and proper testing preparations.
Communicates with practice manager about patient and staff issues and participates in quality improvement.
