Job Summary: Geisinger Heart & Vascular Institute is seeking a BC/BE Electrophysiologist for a full-time opportunity to join Geisinger's Northeast Region locations.
The ideal candidate will be a fellowship-trained Electrophysiologist supported by an integrated system-wide team of EP physicians. The Northeast team includes 3 EP physicians, 5 advanced practitioners, 3 dedicated EP labs, and comprehensive cardiology/cardiothoracic surgery services.
This position offers opportunities for clinical research and teaching CCEP fellows.
Geisinger Heart & Vascular Institute covers a 45-county service area with over 100 physicians and more than 75 advanced practitioners. The team provides care across 5 tertiary/quaternary hospitals, 4 community hospitals, and numerous outreach locations. It features accredited chest pain centers, a regional STEMI PCI network, complex arrhythmia ablation, a full spectrum of coronary, vascular, and structural heart interventions, and an advanced heart failure program.
The team participates in outcomes and population-based research through the Geisinger Center for Health Research, molecular, cellular, and genomics research at the Siegfried and Janet Weis Center for Health Research, and clinical trials for new drugs, devices, and techniques through the Geisinger Center for Clinical Studies. The Institute serves as an educational venue for five cardiology fellows annually, including advanced fourth-year fellows, with a cardiology symposium and frequent CME lectures.
