Qualifications

  • Board Certified in Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology required.
  • Minimum 2-3 years post-fellowship experience preferred.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications and DEA registration mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outpatient and inpatient cardiac electrophysiology services.

Job description

Vivo HealthStaff is recruiting a Board Certified Cardiology Electrophysiologist to join a dynamic Heart Rhythm Institute team in metro Detroit, Michigan. This full-time position offers leadership opportunities, advanced technology access, teaching involvement, and strong multidisciplinary collaboration.

Details:

• Provide outpatient and inpatient cardiac electrophysiology services at multiple hospital locations
• Work Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m., with shared call coverage (2:1 ratio)
• Travel between practice sites as needed
• Perform procedures including pacemaker and defibrillator implants, and right- and left-sided ablations
• Participate in inpatient rounding during call weeks; supported by APP for independent rounding at one hospital
• Build and manage a patient panel with strong internal referral streams and existing volume
• Collaborate with experienced EP cardiologists, APRNs, cardiovascular thoracic surgeons, and a skilled support team
• Join a teaching hospital with over 200 residents and 30 fellows, with opportunities for education and mentoring
• Contribute to high-acuity patient care in a Level I Trauma Center with advanced cardiac, stroke, and neuro-endovascular programs
• Utilize Cerner EMR system, transitioning to Epic in late 2025 early 2026

Schedule:

• Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. 4:30 p.m., with shared call coverage

Requirements:

• Board Certified in Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology
• Completion of accredited Cardiology and Electrophysiology fellowships
• Minimum 2 3 years post-fellowship experience preferred
• Must hold or be eligible for Michigan Medical License
• Must hold BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications and DEA registration
• Clean malpractice and licensure history
• No candidates with second jobs or long commutes (over 1 hour)
