Job description

EP Cardiology Openings (2) in Metro Birmingham, Alabama

We have 2 new EP positions available in our practice.

Our team consists of 15 physicians: 4 non-interventional, invasive, 2 EPs (one is leaving to be with family in TN after working for BHC for 15 years), and the rest are Interventional.

We have 5 locations on our campuses. The resignation is effective December 31. We hope to hire one experienced EP now and a new graduate later. The practice was planning to expand the EP position before the resignation.

We are back to normal post-Covid; we never shut our doors and kept everyone whole during the pandemic.

Compensation and Benefits

• 3 years to partnership, possibly 2 years, with buy-in and 18 months to pay in
• Salary with discretionary bonus in the mid $400s
• $12K moving expense, $3K CME + 5 days

• 15 days of PTO plus holidays and 8 days during the week of Christmas or the week after
• 401K after 1 year plus profit sharing to maximize contributions

• 3-4 rooms in the clinic
• Own MA and RN, shared Device Tech, Device MA, NP
• Procedures 3 days per week
• Clinic: 30 patients per day, 2 days per week
• EMR systems: Nextgen in-office, Cerner in hospital
• In-office procedures include Echo, Vascular Ultrasound, Stress test, PET, CT, Event monitor, Holter monitor, ABI

Patient and Call Details

• Medicare: 35%, Blue Cross: 35%, Medicaid: yes
• Weekend call ratio: 1:7-8 with 2 people on call during weekends
• Primary call with non-interventionists: 1:6 weekdays
• All share holidays equally

Support and Referral Base

There is strong support with another EP and 2 new EPs. The referral base is large and well-established. The practice is ready-made.
