Job summary

Socket.dev in Ohio seeks a Medical Assistant/clinical partner to assist with EKG data collection, apply holter/event monitors, explain tests to patients, and perform basic vital signs and BP measurements.

Under supervision, you may assist with stress testing, ensure proper documentation and billing, maintain PHI security, and hold a high school diploma/GED with BLS certification. 1+ year cardiology experience preferred; travel 10-25%.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as a MA, PCA, CTA or clinical partner in a cardiology setting (Preferred)
• BLS certification required
• High School Diploma or GED required

Responsibilities

• Assists in the acquisition of data by performing EKG, and with application of holter/event monitors independently; including explanation of test, application of electrodes using accepted techniques and placement.
• Assists with stress echo and nuclear stress testing according to hospital and departmental policy under the direct supervision of a nurse.
• Properly bills for completed procedures
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
