Job summary

Holy Cross in Fort Lauderdale, FL seeks a part-time Cardiology Technician to perform ECGs, Holter monitoring, and related cardiology procedures. The role requires attention to detail, patient-centered care, and compliance with physician specifications within the practice’s scope.

Responsibilities include data accuracy, routine ECG performance, Holter analysis, stress testing, and support for nuclear medicine studies under supervision. CPR is required; National Certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year of work experience; Certified Technician is preferred.
• Ability to perform all basic electrocardiographic procedures in a timely and efficient manner.

Responsibilities

• Care provided is appropriate to the age of the patients served, as defined in the scope of service for the area of practice.
• Completes cardiology procedures paying particular attention to all details insuring a quality study.
• Reviews all procedures obtained by new hires and students for accuracy, correct data and technical data.
• Demonstrates proper technique for performing routine ECGs.
• Acquires Signal Average ECGs according to physician specifications.
• Operates holter scanning equipment, scans are thoroughly analyzed, significant data recognized and representative strips documented.
• Assists in the performance of stress testing, treadmill exercise routine, nuclear medicine and stress echocardiography. Proper procedure is adhered to 100% of the time.
• Accurate data is obtained for physician interpretation.
