Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine seeks a Division Chief of Cardiology to lead clinical, education, research and advocacy efforts across central Virginia. The Chief will work with the Pauley Heart Center and Department of Internal Medicine to advance patient care and scholarly activity.

The role oversees a multidisciplinary team, promotes high-quality teaching for learners, and grows research collaborations while guiding faculty development and program expansion in a premier

Competenze

• MD or MD/PhD degree
• Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology
• Distinguished scholarly record with strong publications; nationally recognized
• Administrative leadership experience in an academic medical center
• Commitment to diversity and fostering an environment of respect for all backgrounds

Mansioni

• Lead and grow the Division of Cardiology's clinical, education, and research missions across multiple sites.
• Oversee teaching of medical students, residents, and fellows and mentor faculty in academic careers.
• Recruit, develop, and evaluate faculty; guide promotion and tenure processes and compensation.
• Manage day-to-day division operations, budgets, and program development across affiliated facilities.
