Job summary

Cardiovascular Associates of San Antonio is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our fast-paced cardiology practice. You will support physicians during examinations, manage vital signs, histories, and patient charts, and help coordinate scheduling for procedures.

The role emphasizes compassionate patient care, accurate EHR documentation, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Travel to rural clinics once a week is required, and bilingual Spanish is preferred to serve our

Qualifications

• CMA certification required; high school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a medical assistant in a clinical setting.
• Experience in cardiology specialty preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
• CPR certification is a plus.
• Current driver’s license and liability insurance.
• Bilingual Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with patient examinations and procedures.
• Take vital signs and collect medical histories.
• Prepare charts and gather records before appointments.
• Request hospital records and test results for follow-up.
• Coordinate scheduling for procedures and patient visits.
• Maintain and document patient records in EHR.
