Job summary

The Cardiovascular Institute of the South seeks a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support clinical and administrative operations across its clinics. This position involves patient intake, performing EKGs, and assisting with cardiac diagnostic procedures.

Qualifications

• Current medical assistant certification (CCMA, RMA, CMA, or NCMA).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in gathering key patient information.
• Perform EKGs, draw blood, and manage cardiac monitoring devices.
• Support diagnostic testing procedures including Ultrasound and Echocardiography.
• Utilize EMR and CPOE for documentation and scheduling.
• Educate patients and families on diagnostic testing procedures.
• Perform front-office duties: schedule appointments and verify insurance.
