Job summary

Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant for the Effingham Cardiology department. The role involves supporting providers in both direct and indirect care, performing clinical measurements and ensuring accurate documentation in patient records.

The position is full-time in Effingham with a focus on maintaining high standards of patient care. The candidate should have a High School diploma, CMA certification, and BLS/CPR within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; CMA certification preferred or required.
• BLS or CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
• Certified Medical Assistant credential (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers with patient exams, treatments and procedures.
• Administer medications as directed by the provider.
• Collect patient data including heights, weights and vital signs and document in records.
• Prepare exam rooms, sterilize equipment and maintain infection-control practices.
• Communicate patient history, data and provider instructions to the care team.
• Schedule diagnostic or follow-up visits as directed by the providers.
