Job summary

University of New Mexico is seeking an Open Rank Clinician Educator to join our academic cardiology division in Albuquerque. The role offers 10% protected time for teaching, research, and administration, with potential for more time based on interest, under strong leadership focused on faculty career growth.

You will develop sub-specialty interests, contribute to patient care in a new 9-floor ICU/ED/OR tower, and have opportunities for moonlighting at a nearby community hospital, with J1 visa

Qualifications

• Board certified/board eligible in Cardiovascular Disease by date of hire.
• Board certification/board eligible in Echocardiography by date of hire.
• Eligible to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Teach medical students and mentor internal medicine residents.
• Provide inpatient and outpatient cardiology care.
• Engage in research and contribute to program development.
