Job summary

College of Pastoral Supervision and Psychotherapy is seeking a Registered Nurse to support a fast-paced cardiology clinic. The role involves patient rooming, vital signs, triage calls, and IV starts for clinic echocardiograms.

You will monitor lab results, review tests with patients, manage refills, and ensure chart accuracy using Epic. ACLS/BLS certification and NC RN license or Compact State license are required.

Qualifications

• Two years of cardiology nursing experience preferred.
• ACLS and BLS certification required.
• BSN degree and valid NC RN License or Compact State RN License required.

Overview

RN will facilitate and provide care to patients in our busy and fast paced, state-of-the-art cardiology clinic.

Responsibilities

Room patients and obtain basic vital signs (weight, BP, EKG, etc.). Triage patient phone calls. Start IV for Echos done within the clinic. Monitor lab results/report these to physicians. Review test results with patients as instructed by physicians. Manage prescription refills with patient/pharmacy/physician. Oversee patients' charts for appointment (make sure all records are in chart/referrals in chart/any test results in chart)/ Pre-load information into Epic. Make sure patients are appropriately scheduled according to guidelines. Maintains BLS & ACLS certification.

Qualifications

Computer skills including Epic, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Teams are preferred. Strong organizational and people skills are required. Successful applicants must have excellent communication skills and be a team player. Maintain strict confidentiality of medical, financial, and staff related information. Able to perform multiple tasks at once in an organized manner.

Minimum of two years of nursing experience in cardiology preferred. Experience in physician practice setting preferred. ACLS and BLS certification required. BSN Degree and valid NC RN License or Compact State RN License required.
