Job summary

Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to support our cardiology clinic team. Day shift, 10-hour days, regular full-time schedule.

You will assist physicians by entering orders in the EMR, manage med refills, and provide patient education after visits. Ideal candidates will be a graduate from a CCNE/NLN accredited nursing program or an approved nursing program, with LPN licensure in SD/IA/NE or multi-state Compact, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred.
• Graduate from an approved nursing program is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Assist cardiologists and surgeons in the clinic by entering orders in the EMR as requested.
• Refill medications via the EMR and provide patient education upon completion of the office visit.
• Assist with rooming patients and cleaning exam rooms, and support nursing requests and various other clinic duties as needed.
