Job summary

Clearwater Cardiovascular Consultants in Florida is seeking a licensed NP or PA to provide inpatient and outpatient cardiology care under supervision of attending physicians. You will assess patients, order and interpret tests such as EKGs and echocardiograms, and develop evidence-based treatment plans.

Expect management of hypertension, CAD, arrhythmias, and heart failure, with patient education and care coordination. Travel to affiliated offices within Pinellas County may be required.

Qualifications

• Licensed Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) in Florida.
• National certification required (AANP/ANCC or NCCPA).
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Prior experience in cardiology required.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient evaluation and management of cardiology patients under supervision of attending cardiologists.
• Perform patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests (EKG, echocardiograms, stress tests) and formulate treatment plans.
• Manage chronic cardiovascular conditions including hypertension, CAD, arrhythmias, and heart failure.
• Participate in patient education, medication management and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Support heart failure program initiatives including guideline-directed medical therapy optimization and follow-up.
• Document patient encounters in the EHR accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and staff to ensure seamless care.
• Potential travel to affiliated cardiology offices within Pinellas County as needed.
