Job summary

You will coordinate care with patients, families, and the health care team, ensuring safety and quality while following hospital policies and unit competencies.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate
• ADN required; BSN within 5 years preferred
• 1+ year of RN experience
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Kansas or a compact state
• BLS Heartsaver certification (non-clinical) within 14 days
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS/BCLS) certification

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care through assessment and accurate documentation, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation for patient comfort and well-being.
• Carries out a plan of care specific to unit competencies for the target patient population.
• Coordinates care delivery and education with patient, family and health care team providers to ensure safe, effective and quality patient care.
• Follows organizational policies in providing safe patient care.
• Must be able to perform professional, clinical and/or technical competencies of the assigned unit or department.
• May have additional duties as assigned.
