Join our team as a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner. In the RN Practitioner role, you will:

  1. Support our Structural Heart Team in the Cardiac Cath Lab, supporting physicians in the education of patients and their families on procedures like Cardiac Catheterization, Peripheral vascular interventions, TAVR, TEER, and others.
  2. Perform Fem stop, monitor vital signs, groin/wrist checks, stitch removal (TEER patients), among other duties.
  3. Communicate with patients, families, ICU RN, Cath lab RN, ED staff, Kaiser physicians, CHV physicians, pre/post-op nurses, device company reps.
  4. Utilize the nursing process to promote/restore optimal health and well-being of the patient.
  5. Assume personal accountability for organizational mission and core values.
Qualifications

In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

  • At least 1 year of experience in a clinical or advanced practice setting, preferred.
  • Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to the specialty.
  • Master’s Degree in Nursing as a Nurse Practitioner from a nationally accredited postgraduate certificate program; graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required.
  • Registered Nurse Practitioner licensure for the state, listed on the state Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) Registry, required. Board certification as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, in applicable population foci and/or sub-specialty.
  • RN License required.
  • BLS certification from the American Heart Association may be required depending on practice setting.
  • ACLS certification from the American Heart Association may be required depending on practice setting.
  • Prescriptive Authority (RXN) or Provisional Prescriptive Authority (RXN-P), if applicable, with an articulated plan.

Physical Requirements - Medium Work - exerting up to 50 lbs occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs constantly.
