Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a highly motivated general cardiologist for the Puget Sound VA Medical Center. This position focuses on providing cardiology consultation and management services for veterans across Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Alaska, particularly in underserved areas.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Degree must be from an accredited institution.
  • Full and unrestricted medical license needed.
  • Proficiency in English is essential.
  • ABIM Board Certification in Cardiovascular Disease is an additional requirement.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a consultant for cardiology and primary care providers.
  • Diagnose and manage various cardiac conditions.
  • Provide supervision and mentorship to advanced practice providers.
  • Conduct outpatient and inpatient cardiology consultations.
  • Grow clinical practice and develop partnerships.

Skills

Proficiency in spoken and written English
Expertise in electrocardiography
Ambulatory rhythm monitoring skills
Stress testing knowledge
Echocardiography certification

Education

United States Citizenship
Doctor of Medicine degree
