Software Placement Group in Moultrie, GA, seeks a General Cardiologist for a 155-bed community teaching hospital. You will deliver both non-invasive and invasive cardiac care, split between clinic and cath lab duties, and mentor students in a technology-enabled environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide non-invasive or invasive general cardiology care, depending on background and interest.
• Work Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM, balancing clinic and cath lab responsibilities.
• Manage 14–20 patients daily in the clinic, with variable hospital patient volume.
• Share call duty with fellow cardiologists, 7 days per month, with extra pay for calls.
• Mentor medical students and residents.
• Perform and interpret ECG, Holter monitoring, echocardiograms and TEE.
• Perform cardiac catheterization, pacemaker/ICD insertion, loop recorder placement.
• Conduct stress tests, cardiac CT/MRI, and carotid studies.

Overview

A 155-bed community-based teaching hospital in Southwest Georgia is seeking a General Cardiologist to join its dynamic healthcare team. This role offers the chance to deliver high-quality cardiac care, mentor future physicians, and work within a technologically advanced clinical environment.

What you'll do

• Provide non-invasive or invasive general cardiology care, depending on background and interest
• Work Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM, balancing clinic and cath lab responsibilities
• Manage 14-20 patients daily in the clinic, with variable hospital patient volume
• Share call duty with fellow cardiologists, required 7 days per month, with additional pay for extra calls
• Mentor medical students and residents
• Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures including ECG, Holter monitoring, echocardiograms, and TEE
• Perform cardiac catheterization, pacemaker and ICD insertion, and loop recorder placement
• Conduct stress tests, cardiac CT and MRI, and carotid studies

Required qualifications

• Completion or upcoming completion of cardiology fellowship
• Board-certified or board certification eligible, with a requirement to obtain certification within 5 years if eligible
• Hold a Georgia Medical License or participate in the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact
