Qualifications
- Medical degree required with successful completion of residency in general cardiology.
- Board certified/eligible and state license required.
- Current experience practicing Cardiology within 2 years; preferably in a community setting.
- Ability to stay updated on latest medical technologies.
Responsibilities
- Examining, diagnosing, and treating heart conditions.
- Documenting and reviewing patients' histories.
- Ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests (EKG, echocardiograms, nuclear stress tests).
- Providing cardiology consultations in hospital settings including ED and acute care.
- Educating patients about disease prevention and detection.
- Collaborating with medical and non-medical personnel.
