Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical School or Osteopathic Medical School.
• Board Certified or Board Certified Eligible in Cardiology.
• Current active DEA licensure/prescriptive authority or ability to obtain post-hire, per state regulations.
• Current active Mass DPH Controlled Substances Registration or ability to obtain post-hire, per state regulations.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs physical assessments on patients with specialized conditions.
• Develop and implement a plan of care for these patients, and prescribe medications, exercises and/or other treatments and testing.
• Collaborates with the clinical and administrative teams in the management of patient care.
• Serves as a liaison between primary care providers and specialists to consult with providers on issues related to patient care.
• Teaches and counsels individuals and groups with regard to specific health care needs.
