Job summary
The Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center in Spokane, WA is recruiting for a Cardiologist to provide comprehensive cardiovascular care and leadership within the Medical Center. This open continuous announcement offers recruitment/relocation incentives and eligibility for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) to qualified candidates.
Applicants must hold a current, unrestricted medical license in the United States and be board-eligible/certified in cardiology.
Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and full, unrestricted medical license in the United States
- MD/DO degree from an approved school
- Completion of ACGME/AOA-accredited cardiology fellowship
- Board certification in cardiology or eligibility
- Valid licensure to practice medicine in the U.S.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive cardiology care and consultations to patients
- Order and interpret tests (EKG, echocardiography, stress tests, Holter)
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Prescribe medications and manage therapy
- Educate patients on lifestyle modification and risk reduction
- Maintain accurate medical records in EHR and coordinate care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and supervise staff as needed
