Job description

Job Description: The Cardiovascular Institute and the Division of Cardiovascular Medicine in the Department of Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (BIDMC) are seeking candidates for full-time faculty position in General Cardiology/Advanced Cardiac Imaging within a growing and dynamic academic Division.

Responsibilities include performing and interpreting advanced echocardiographic studies, including TEE, 3D echocardiography, and intraprocedural imaging for structural interventions such as transcatheter aortic valve replacement (TAVR), transcatheter edge-to-edge repair (e.g., MitraClip), and left atrial appendage occlusion. The candidate will collaborate closely with interventional teams in procedural planning and real-time guidance in the catheterization laboratory or hybrid operating room. Additional responsibilities include supervising junior trainees, participating in imaging lab operations, contributing to multidisciplinary heart team discussions, and engaging in academic activities such as research, protocol development, and teaching.

Candidates must have completed an accredited cardiology fellowship and be eligible for board certification in cardiovascular disease, as well as have or be eligible for Commonwealth of Massachusetts medical licensure. Advanced expertise in echocardiography, strong analytical skills, and the ability to integrate imaging into complex procedural care are essential.

Pay Range: $170,000 - $742,000 The base pay range reflects what Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center (HMFP) reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this role at the time of posting and may be modified from time to time. Actual compensation within this range may be determined based on several factors, including academic appointment, work experience, specialty training, geography of work location, anticipated productivity, FTE basis, and role expectations. In addition to base compensation, this role may be eligible for performance-based incentives, which may include bonuses for productivity and quality HMFP also offers a comprehensive and generous employee benefits program to eligible employees, including health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as retirement plan(s) with employer contributions.
