Job summary

Northeast Medical Group, part of Yale New Haven Health, seeks a Board-Eligible or Board-Certified Cardiologist to join our growing cardiovascular team in New London, CT. This is a tertiary-level program offering advanced diagnostic and interventional services and a collaborative academic environment.

The role includes outpatient consultative work, on-call duties, and opportunities to advance in a high-performing cardiovascular program with access to state-of-the-art imaging and research

Qualifications

• Board eligible or board certified in cardiovascular disease.
• Fellowship training in cardiovascular disease.
• Eligibility for Connecticut licensure.
• MD or DO degree.

Responsibilities

• Examines patients, obtains medical histories and treats acute and chronic illnesses.
• Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic tests.
• Involves patients and their families in care and treatment decisions.
• Creates treatment plans and completes orders in patient's charts; collaborates with staff and physicians.
• Initiates appropriate specialty referrals.
• Provides clinical information to the interdisciplinary team in a timely manner.
• Ensures proper patient documentation is accurate and complete.
• Provides on-call coverage and participates in quality improvement activities.
