Job Title: Cardiologist (Consultant)

Location: Kingsboro Psychiatric Center, 681 Clarkson Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11203

Schedule: 16 hours/month (4 hours per week), weekdays 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, excluding holidays

Hourly Rate: $175 – $200 per hour (based on experience and certification)

About the Role

Quality Healthcare Staffing seeks a Board-Certified Cardiologist to provide consultation services at Kingsboro Psychiatric Center. The Cardiologist will deliver specialized cardiovascular medicine services to adult inpatients, including diagnosis, evaluation, treatment planning, and consultation with facility prescribers.

Responsibilities

• Provide cardiovascular consultation services to adult inpatients.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and recommend treatment for conditions involving the heart, lungs, and blood vessels.
• Interpret EKGs and other diagnostic studies.
• Conduct scheduled cardiology clinics (16 hours/month on-site).
• Communicate with Kingsboro PC prescribers and medical staff regarding patient care.
• Prepare clear and detailed consult reports consistent with CMS standards and Kingsboro PC format.
• Participate in facility-required consultant trainings.
• Comply with federal, state, and OMH regulations, including credentialing and privileging requirements.
• Maintain high standards of patient safety, ethics, and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
• Board Certification in Cardiology or a subspecialty (e.g., Cardiovascular Disease, Interventional Cardiology) by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
• Active New York State Medical License.
• Completed Cardiology Fellowship.
• Prior experience in hospital/clinical settings preferred.
• English proficiency required; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
• Must successfully pass all background checks (SEL, SCR, criminal history, and credential verification).

Compensation

$200.00 per hour
