Job summary

LaSante Health Center in New York seeks a part-time Cardiologist to provide high-quality cardiovascular care in an FQHC setting, one day per week. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage cardiovascular conditions.
• Perform cardiovascular assessments and interpret tests (EKG, echocardiograms, stress tests as applicable).
• Develop and manage treatment plans for acute and chronic cardiac conditions.
• Provide patient education on heart health and medication use.
• Collaborate with primary care teams to ensure coordinated care.
• Document encounters in the EHR and participate in quality meetings.

Salary: $100-120+/hr based on experience

LaSante Health Center is seeking a Part-time Cardiologist to provide high-quality, patient-centered cardiovascular care in a federally qualified health center (FQHC) setting one day/week. This role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and managing cardiovascular conditions while collaborating with primary care providers to support comprehensive care for an underserved community.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with cardiovascular conditions
• Perform cardiovascular assessments and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests as applicable)
• Develop and manage treatment plans for acute and chronic cardiac conditions
• Provide patient education on heart health, disease prevention, and medication management
• Collaborate with primary care providers and care teams to ensure coordinated care
• Document all encounters accurately in the electronic health record (EHR)
• Participate in quality improvement and clinical meetings as requested

Qualifications:

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Board certified or board eligible in Cardiology
• Current New York State medical license (or eligibility for licensure)
• Experience in outpatient or community health settings preferred
• Strong communication and patient engagement skills
