Job summary

LaSante Health Center in New York seeks a Part-time Cardiologist to provide high-quality cardiovascular care in an FQHC setting, one day per week. You will evaluate and manage cardiovascular conditions, collaborate with primary care teams, and support underserved communities.

Responsibilities include assessments, tests interpretation, treatment planning, patient education, and accurate EHR documentation. Prior outpatient experience and strong communication are preferred.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certified or board eligible in Cardiology.
• Current New York State medical license (or eligibility).
• Experience in outpatient or community health settings preferred.
• Strong communication and patient engagement skills.

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with cardiovascular conditions.
• Perform cardiovascular assessments and interpret diagnostic tests (EKG, echocardiograms, stress tests as applicable).
• Develop and manage treatment plans for acute and chronic cardiac conditions.
• Provide patient education on heart health, disease prevention and medications.
• Collaborate with primary care providers to ensure coordinated care.
• Document all encounters accurately in the EHR.
• Participate in quality improvement and clinical meetings as requested.

Salary: $100-120+/hr based on experience LaSante Health Center is seeking a Part-time Cardiologist to provide high-quality, patient-centered cardiovascular care in a federally qualified health center (FQHC) setting one day/week. This role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and managing cardiovascular conditions while collaborating with primary care providers to support comprehensive care for an underserved community.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with cardiovascular conditions
• Perform cardiovascular assessments and interpret diagnostic tests (e.g., EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests as applicable)
