Job description

We Are Hiring
  • Department: CVOR
  • Schedule: Part Time and Full Time available
  • Hospital: Ascension St. Vincent
  • Location: Indianapolis, IN

Supports the entire CV service line (inpatient and procedural).

Acts as a CV resource on non-cardiac units and supports VAD and ECMO patients off unit.

What You Will Do

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.

  • Implement and monitor patient care plans. Record and communicate patient conditions appropriately.
  • Coordinate care among disciplines for well-organized patient management.
  • Follow physician and nursing orders accurately.
  • Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
What You Will Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

  • BLS Provider certification within 1 month (30 days) of hire or transfer, accepted from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Registered Nurse credential from the Indiana Board of Nursing prior to hire or transfer.

Education:

  • Diploma from an accredited nursing school or college OR required professional licensure at the time of hire.
Additional Preferences

Minimum of 2 years inpatient cardiology experience required.

VAD training required.

Cardiac ICU experience or strong cardiac progressive experience with VAD training preferred.
